Transit, from the inside
For five years I've worked alongside the chief engineer at Yerevan Electric Transit — on route planning, scheduling, and fleet electrification — and shared proposals with the Yerevan Metro. Alongside that, I build computational and machine-learning tools for transit decisions.
My vision is simple: help cities make better public-transit decisions. I want the everyday movement of ordinary people — how they get to work, school, and home — to become easier, and I'm glad to help cities anywhere work on that.
What I build
Yeraz — Electric Transit Optimizer
Decides which bus routes a city should electrify first, under budget, fleet, range, and depot-charging limits — and it's built to run in data-scarce cities, deriving route geometry and gradient from open data where GTFS and telemetry don't exist. Solved to global optimality.
Ughi — Headway-Prediction Model
Predicts segment traversal times from vehicle type, time of day, season, and weather, then derives per-vehicle headways to help prevent bunching.
Where I've worked
Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), Berlin
Jun - Jul 2026Built a Power BI dashboard (DAX, Deneb) analyzing subway rolling-stock metrics — fleet mileage, energy consumption, and door utilization — and identified critical flaws in the underlying raw data. Automated recurring reporting workflows, and joined live test runs to study vehicle structures first-hand.
Yerevan Electric Transit
2021 – presentParticipated in designing trolleybus route extensions — extending Տ4 to the Central Railway Station and Տ5 to the Davtashen–Ajapnyak districts, with route analysis for Տ1–Տ3. Modernized timetabling with GIS methods, supported live dispatch, and contributed fleet-modernization analysis ahead of a major renewal.

2021 – presentShared my vision for operational, rolling-stock, and above-ground security improvements — including a Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and edge-AI concept — presented and discussed with the metro.
